Membership Rules
Any individual who is a permanent resident of the Tricity area is eligible to enroll as a General Member of the library, while individuals residing outside the Tricity region may apply for Special Membership. Membership facilities are also available for the Branch Library at Badheri. Institutions can also apply for library membership

Circulation Rules
- Two books & Two Magazines will be allowed to lend.
- Institutions will be provided 5 ID cards.
- Institutions will be allowed to borrow 10 books at a time for the period of 14 days.
- All books are for lending except the books, which are not available in the lending section or the books, marked as “ Reference”
- Borrower will be allowed maximum 14 days to hold the book from the date of issue.
- Senior Citizen Members can get four books and two Magazines issued for 30 days.
- Re-issue of the book will be allowed for next 14 days.
- Rupee 1/- will be charged as fine per day per book for late return of the books.
- In the case of loss of book, the borrower shall replace the book with its copy or pay the cost of the book along with an additional charge equivalent to one-third of the book’s cost.
- Membership cards are not transferable.
- Authority may relax or modify the aforesaid rules at any time for smooth service in the section.
